The "build a better Bonnie" project is moving right along. Here we are at the end of February and I've made huge progress toward my goal of developing and adhering to a more comprehensive self-care program.
I had the most amazing facial at Absolute Nirvana yesterday, as well as a foot, hand, and decollete lymph drainage treatment. And I have a deep tissue massage scheduled for Wednesday. The monthly massages seem to be helping with the bouts of insomnia.
I've revitalized my daily meditation practice and will be expanding it to two 15-minute sessions a day starting in March.
The biggest shift so far this year has been in my diet. I've removed gluten from my diet completely and I've cut back drastically on the carbs. I'm also cutting out red meat. Believe it or not, I'm now the proud owner of a blender so I can make fruit smoothies for breakfast. But not to worry, this is as domestic as I'm going to get.
And tomorrow I'm off to the hair salon. Curls are making a comback in my world.
