My week of vacation is almost over but it's been a really productive time in the studio. I've finished a UFO, had a chance to experiment with some new techniques, & started some new pieces which I'm very excited about.
Here's my completed crazy quilt block utilizing stitches from Sharon Boggon's "100 Details for 100 Days" & a lot of beads. I'll work on my other block as I have time but I'm feeling the need to concentrate on other projects right now.
I bought "The Art of Embroidered Flowers" back in June & have finally had a chance to start on one of the landscapes this week. It took some time for me to get a background painted that I was happy with.
I still want to try out some of the techniques that have been showcased on Try It Tuesday. If you haven't checked this blog out... Every Tuesday a new art technique is introduced with full instructions & a supply list. Participants are challenged to experiment with the technique then share their final results which are entered into a weekly lottery to win a prize donated by that week's sponsor. In addition to the prize, the winning piece will be featured on the site for 1 week, including a link to the winner's website. All entries are showcased on the blog.
